Low Carb Breakfast Smoothie
This is what I have for breakfast pretty much every morning. Great nutrition, with no insulin rush, for balanced energy in the morning!
Mix in blender:
1 Cup non-sweetened yogurt (I use Trader Joe’s lowfat vanilla organic yogurt)
1 Cup water
1 'protein scoop' of dried unsweetened coconut (1 ounce)
1 Cup frozen mixed berries
1 T flax oil
Blend together in blender until well-mixed. Turn power down to low, and then add:
1 'protein scoop' Vanilla Whey Protein
Blend just until mixed, pour, enjoy!
You add the whey protein at the end so it doesn’t 'foam up' in the blender – I hate that. If your whey protein is not sweetened (most are), add a dash or 2 of stevia powder for extra sweetness.

thanks for this. I look forward to trying this and it should have less sugar than my present shake with a bit more.
